Gig Review – Liam Gallagher

By Ruby Eastwood.

My friend Will introduced me to Liam Gallagher’s new music. I had never really been a fan of Oasis but he loved listening to them. He gave me Liam’s album to listen to and because I enjoyed it we went to go see him on December 13th 2017 at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff.

Liam Gallagher, born in 1972 (making him 45), used to perform as lead singer in a band called Oasis but since their split he has gone solo, continuing his music in a similar style to Oasis’s.

I enjoyed going to see Liam Gallagher because he really is a “rockstar”; he knows how to put on a good show.  By mixing his new album in with a few Oasis songs he kept the audience on their toes and jumping up and down.

There is not much I didn’t enjoy about the show. The songs sounded different to the album but were still good and I feel Liam is probably appreciated in a festival setting. I liked them all so I couldn’t pick a favourite.

If you’re a fan of rock music or if you are a fan of Oasis I would 100% recommend going to see him live. He puts on an amazing show and it’s just a really good atmosphere to be a part of.

His first release from his album ‘As You Were’ was a rock anthem called ‘Wall of Glass’, and shows a perfect example of his new music.
